Animal Kingdom Day 4 AM

We spent the morning at Animal Kingdom bright and early in an effort to get on one of the first safari's hoping to see as many animals as possible and we were not disappointed!  Our family was on the back row of the jeep, which meant we could see all around us.  Our safari guide was amazing.  She was extremely entertaining and informative and did an awesome job directing our eyes around the land.  The kids saw many, many animals that they were so intrigued with and amazed by.  It was precious to watch their faces as each new animal came by.

We walked around Africa and watched music shows, animal exhibits, and enjoyed our first Dole Whips (thank you Jesus they were dairy free!!)

We were walking by this one area at the same exact moment Russell and Dug from the movie Up were walking up to start signing autographs.  I quickly jumped a rope and got our kids 3rd in line and they were soon excited to see these characters!  I think Russell was excited to see Brooks, too.  The kids hugged and loved on them and got their autographs!  We were in and out in 5 minutes and on our way to the next ride!

Brooks, Gavin, Miles, and I took turns riding Dinosaur and it was not a favorite for the boys, at all.  We couldn't get Miles to ride a 2nd time and Gavin did, however, he kept his head down the entire ride- check out the picture below.

Probably our favorite moment from Animal Kingdom was going to The Lion King show.  It was an entertaining, full of life show that the kids were mesmerized with!  Surprisingly, our kids knew some of the songs and danced around to them.  One of our favorite parts was the monkeys!!  They were gymnasts with acrobatic moves who flew all around from one corner to the next.  At some point, a character from the show came and asked our kids to participate.  Gavin and Brooklyn ran down to the stage, but Miles stayed next to us!  Gavin and Brooklyn danced around and walked a circle around with all the "animals" and loved waving to others.  Towards the end, Timon stopped Brooklyn in front of everyone to talk to her!

Our morning at Animal Kingdom was a huge success and for sure brought many memories for the kids and us!
