Our best friends the Sperling's are having a baby boy, Jacob, this summer and we're so excited for them! We can't wait for him to get here and meet him and love on him!!! Some girls and I got together and threw Steph a baby shower to help get her ready for Jacob's arrival. We had a safari themed, dessert shower for Steph that was lots of fun!!

In addition to Steph's baby shower... we decided to have a Man Shower for Micah and allow our husbands the opportunity to have some fun. We told the men we were getting together to have dinner with our group of friends, but that wasn't all that was planned. After we ate, we had them play Diaper Surprise where they had to guess which chocolate candy bar was melted inside the diaper. They were allowed to use any of their 5 senses to determine what the candy bar was. The best part about this game was all the guys were actually tasting the chocolate out of the diaper. They were competitive and wanted to win.

After the guys had a chance to figure out all the candy... next up was charades. This was beyond words funny! We came up with various baby/pregnancy/birth etc topics for them to act out. The guys did not disappoint! They were great sports about it and tried their hardest to allow their team the chance to guess the right answers. Us girls watched and laughed!!

I think of all of us would say that the ultimate entertainment of the night came with Stroller Wars. Between our group of friends there are 6 kids (going to be 8 by the end of the year) so we all have lots of various strollers. We created a game where we laid out different strollers and put the guys in a circle. The object of the game was to open and close the stroller the fastest before anyone else could. Each rotation, there was a winner. Each rotation began with arms up then a countdown to start. Once you were finished you had to raise arms up, yell done, and the stroller had to be back in its original position. After one round, the men started making up rules to ensure no one was cheating. It was hilarious! The best part was watching guys struggle to stand the stroller up or open it or not be able to unlock the lock button. Some rounds were easy for the guys, depending on which stroller they had and other rounds were just torture for them. We ended up having to do a sudden death round because Brooks and Jamie tied with the most rotation wins. So, then, we lined up all the strollers and timed Brooks and Jamie separately to see who could open, lock, & close each stroller. The guy with the fastest time wins! I'm proud to announce that my hubby, the guy with the 3 kids won!! Jamie was close though, so props to him!!
To give you an even better idea of how fun our night was.. watch these videos!!
Micah and Steph-- we hope y'all know how much you are loved and how excited we all are to be a part of this new journey in your lives. Y'all are going to be AMAZING parents and we all hope to be a huge support and encouragement to you guys! Hope Micah's ready to change some diapers!!
