Magic Reindeer Food

I'm trying to make sure that the time I have left with Gavin being an only child is spent doing fun activities and making memories for the two of us.  I feel like I missed out on a lot of things the past two weeks while I was resting my body and keeping Miles in a little longer.  I even had some guilt that made me really sad I wasn't able to play with Gavin and have fun with him.  So, I spent the last 2 days of my bed rest, researching creative, fun ideas/projects of things we could do together and around the house.

I ran across this quick, easy, and fun project from The Idea Room to make Magic Reindeer Food.  I realize that Gavin doesn't realize what Reindeer are, nor will he understand the significance of scattering Reindeer food outside our front lawn Christmas eve, however, we spent some quality time together and made precious little bags of Reindeer food for him to give to his little friends here and we've started a tradition that we'll hopefully continue from year to year!

The best part about this project was that I had everything you needed to make it- including the cellophane bags, cardstock paper, ingredients, and of course the sugar crystals (I had those in green and just substituted red sprinkles instead of crystals- yes, there is a difference, but for this it didn't matter).   If you're interested in making this simple "dish", click on the two links above for the specific instructions and where to find and print the free labels I downloaded!
