7 months was a busy month

Brooklyn turned 7 months old on August 28th and was a busy, busy girl.  She continued on her quest to feed herself so we began giving her different fruits and a few foods in one of those feeding nets.  She loved it!  She became a pro at sitting in her bumbo.  I think she got bored with it since she figured out how to climb out of it.  Needless to say, the bumbo hasn't been used in a while!

Brooklyn also started the month off by learning to sit up all by herself! Woo hoo!  In the beginning she was not sure about being unsupported, but after a few attempts of realizing it wasn't so bad she preferred to sit rather then be held. She officially became mobile and began crawling, too.  It took her about 2 weeks from the time she first attempted to move her arms while on all fours until she took off.  Brooklyn didn't waste much time and quickly discovered she could climb up our small set of stairs, too.

Brooklyn finally got to spend some time with Jacob, which was a fun reunion.  They had been apart since he was born!  These two hung out together multiple times during the month and were as cute as could be!  I made them shirts on my Silhouette machine a few months ago and we finally got them dressed up together.  I'm excited to watch these two grow up together!

Her new favorite is the exersaucer.  The only problem is if Miles is around he pushes her hands off the toys so he can play with them.  None the less, she enjoys hanging out in it and now that she's mobile, it's the easiest way to keep her contained in sight!!

She also started sitting up in the bathtub, which now means she gets to take baths with her older brothers!!  This is done in moderation and for the most part she stands outside the tube while they get bathed before we let her in.  The boys do awesome with her and it tends to keep bath time a lot calmer!!

She got her fair share of veggies this month, but so far isn't enjoying them.  She forces herself to swallow squash and can only handle green beans if rice and water are mixed in.  Peas require being hidden behind apples and even then she has the ability to keep the peas in her mouth and spits them out.  She shutters every time they touch her tongue.  She LOVES sweet potatoes and all the fruits she's been given, especially pears, but her stomach can't handle peaches and nectarines.  We had Brooklyn tested for a milk allergy, but that came back negative.  However, she gets sick every single time she would take a milk based formula so we're back on soy (yet that causes her to spit up continuously) so she is now taking medication to stop her reflux.   I'm so ready to be done with formula in this house... just a few more months.
